Anime

                                          Anime

Anime is the japanese pronunciation that refers to "animation".So people out of Japan understand anime as the animations or cartoons developed in Japan, that contains colorful graphics and are mostly based on mangas(Mangas are comics created in Japan, or by Japanese authors, in the Japanese language and conforming to the style developed in Japan in the late 19th century). While the earliest known Japanese animation dates to 1917, and many original Japanese cartoons were produced in the ensuing decades, the characteristic anime style developed in the 1960s—notably with the work of Osamu Tezuka—and became known outside Japan in the 1980s.

Osamu Tezuka (手塚 治虫, born 手塚 治 Tezuka Osamu, November 3, 1928 – February 9, 1989) was a Japanese cartoonist, manga artist, animator, producer, activist and medical doctor, although he never practiced medicine. Born in Osaka Prefecture, he is best known as the creator of Astro Boy,Kimba the White Lion and Black Jack. He is often credited as the "Godfather of Anime", and is often considered the Japanese equivalent to Walt Disney, who served as a major inspiration during his formative years.
